IDOLATRY SHOWS UP IN OUR DESIRES & DREAMS
We can look to our desires: for deep romantic love, the quest for “trophy kids,” and the desire to feel significant–
In marriage, are you looking to your husband to be and do things for you that he will never do or be?
Are you asking your kids questions like:
“Will YOU be my trophy child? Will you prove to the world that all my sacrifices, sleepless nights, curriculum choices, and parenting methods were worth it?“
MAMA, ARE YOU AN IDOL-WORSHIPPER?
The truth is this: when we set up this desire to be worshipped and receive glory for our appearance, sacrifices, or talents, we are actually setting up an idol in our heart.

IN THE COMMENTS: Do you see that desire in your heart– to have your children grow up and “prove” that your work was worthwhile?
